The story

From a pharmacy degree in Brazil to the first threading studio in Malta

Brenda Cammo trained as a pharmacist at the Federal University of Sergipe, in Brazil, before she ever picked up a threading line. That training is still visible in how BeCammo works: skin safety, hygiene and a written method come before anything else.

She moved to Malta in 2019 to learn English. Looking for somewhere to have her own brows done, she noticed what was missing on the island: there was no salon fully specialised in eyebrows and in threading, the ancient technique that shapes brows with a single cotton thread, without wax. She was the first professional to map and design brows with threading in Malta, and in 2020 she opened the first studio in the country dedicated entirely to brows.

From that single studio, BeCammo grew into two salons, in Sliema and Swieqi, and into a full menu: brows, lashes, facials, laser hair removal and, in Sliema, laser tattoo removal, nails and massage. The thread is still where it all starts.

The BeCammo method

One written protocol, the same standard in every chair

Brenda wrote down how a BeCammo appointment should go, step by step, and trains every specialist in that protocol. Whichever salon you book and whoever looks after you, the method is the same.

• Mapping before shaping. Brows are measured and designed for your face, your features and your hair, never copied from a trend. The method was built on clients from every background and every brow type.
• Threading, not wax. A single cotton thread lifts each hair from the root, with nothing hot or sticky touching the skin. The thread is single-use and discarded after every client; a polyester thread is available for clients allergic to cotton.
• Hygiene first. Every appointment follows the same hygiene and skin-safety routine, with a consultation before the treatment and clear aftercare afterwards.
• Honest advice. If a treatment is not right for your skin or your timing, the team says so. The goal is a result you will still like in three weeks, not just at the mirror.

Today Brenda leads the method and the training. The treatments themselves are carried out by the BeCammo team, in Sliema and Swieqi, following her protocol.

Awards and training

In November 2025, at the International Beauty Awards in Barcelona, Brenda was named Top Brow Trainer and The Best Master of Beauty Industry, among professionals from 31 nationalities. Earlier that year, BeCammo's facial threading was recognised in Malta as the best procedure of its kind.

Where we are

Two salons in Malta

Sliema is the original home of BeCammo and carries the full menu, including nails, massage and laser tattoo removal. Swieqi offers brows, lashes, semi-permanent make-up, facials and laser hair removal. Both open Monday to Saturday and take bookings online, with a small deposit that comes off the price on the day.
